Dr.
Moira Drosdovech,
owner and operator, graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine
in 1987 and has been providing comprehensive veterinary care for animals
in Kelowna, B.C. for over 12 years. She is married and a mother of two
children, photos of whom abound on this site, as well as guardian of a
black and white cat, "Oreo" and an Irish Water Spaniel puppy,
"Kira". Dr. Moira has taken extra schooling in veterinary homeopathy
with Dr. Richard Pitcairn and has also completed the professional level
of the animal course in Bowen
Therapy.
Philosophy
Quality veterinary care for all pets with any health condition is our
goal using remedies that stimulate a healing response rather than suppress
symptoms. We consider the needs of the animal as paramount along with
the moral philosophy and financial ability of the guardian. We strive
to develop a lasting bond between veterinarian, client and patient to
enable a wrinkle-free working relationship based on mutual trust and confidence.
Included in our mission is the goal of educating pet guardians locally,
provincially and even globally about these same issues. As part of our
education program, we are striving to make homeopathy considered as mainstream,
first-choice medicine and not an alternative or last resort medicine.

Clinic
Description
Our new facility, opened in March 2002, offers surgical services, including
spays, neuters, and dentistries as well as X-rays. The clinic is very
relaxing with several features that provide a calming atmosphere, including
water fountains, fresh cut flowers and soothing music. Another unique
feature of our clinic is the option for pet guardians to spend the night
on a comfortable futon in the event that their pet needs to be hospitalized.
In addition, guardians are encouraged to be involved with their pet before,
during and after their anesthetics. We have found this is extremely beneficial
in aiding the pet during the recovery period in particular.

Pet's
Bill of Rights
- We have the right
to be full members of your family. We thrive on social
interaction, praise, and love.
- We have the right
to stimulation. We need new games, new toys, new experiences,
and new smells to be happy.
- We have the right
to regular exercise. Without it, we could become hyper,
sluggish...or fat.
- We have the right
to have fun. We enjoy acting like clowns now and then;
don't expect us to be predictable all the time.
- We have the right
to quality health care that takes into account what
is really best for us. Please stay good friends with our vet.
- We have the right
to a good diet. Like some people, we don't know what's
best for us. We depend on you.
- We have the right
not to be rejected because of your expectations that
we be great show dogs or show cats, watchdogs, hunters, or baby-sitters.
- We have the right
to receive proper training. Otherwise, our good relationship
could be marred by confusion and strife--and we could become dangerous
to ourselves and others.
- We have the right
to guidance and correction based on understanding and
compassion, rather than abuse.
- We have the right
to live with dignity...and to die with dignity when
the time comes.
