Pawsitive Veterinary Care
is a privately owned small animal veterinary clinic located
in Kelowna, British Columbia. Pawsitive Veterinary Care grew out of the
need for alternatives to conventional medicine in pets, and was opened
in 2000 as a veterinary clinic with a unique integrated approach. Homeopathy,
herbal medicines and flower essences form the majority of our treatment
modalities, proving their effectiveness time and time again, yet conventional
medicine and diagnostics are utilized whenever absolutely necessary.
Office Hours
Our office hours by appointment are Monday and Tuesday
9 to 5, Wednesday 9 to noon, Thursday 12 to 7 and Friday 9 to 5. Saturday

TITRE CLINIC for
the week of November 3-10, with the bulk of the testing being on Saturday
November 8th. Titres are an excellent way to assess your dog's immune
status to see if adequate protection exists against Parvo and Distemper.
I recommend that no adult dogs or cats get revaccinated unless a titre
test has shown the levels to be dangerously low.
The Fall Issue of PAWS 4 THOT, the semi-annual newsletter for Pawsitive
Veterinary Care, will be in the mail by the end of October. Please feel
free to share it amongst those you know with pets anywhere and everywhere!
PAWSITIVELY
PURE NUTRITION
Whole Food Concentrate For Dogs and Cats
In keeping with a growing trend that recognizes the importance of a solid
nutritional foundation in maintaining optimal health for pets, I have
developed a line of supplements that provide nutrients in their whole
unprocessed form. These are made from high energy fruits, vegetables and
herbs by dehydrating the whole product or juice and making it into an
easily assimilated and palatable powder.
While I prefer my patients to be on the Natural Raw Food Diet (NFRD) which,
for dogs at least, contains raw ground vegetables, it is even more important
for dogs on commercial dry and canned foods. This supplement is not intended
to replace more than 10-20% of the vegetables in the NRFD. Its purpose
is to provide very high quality and readily available nutrients to both
dogs and cats to help them in the face of disease and, even if already
healthy, in the face of detrimental environmental forces that endeavour
to destroy health (pollutants, free radicals, poisons, etc). By feeding
this to your pets, you are arming them with very powerful tools to optimize
health.
Because the supplements are in a palatable powder form, the vast majority
of pets will accept them mixed with their NRFD or on top of their commercial
diets. We already know the benefits of whole unadulterated foods in our
own diets. Let's give our pets the same tools.
